POET'S CORNER

Poet's Corner is in the northeast corner of Bourke's Central Park. It has memorial stones for local poets and writers - including Henry Lawson, Will Ogilvie, Harry "Breaker" Morant and Francis Humphris Brown.

Henry Lawson wrote some of his most memorable poetry and short stories from his outback experiences in this area during 1891-92.
