TOORALE HOMESTEAD PRECINCT (YARRAMARRA)

Information

Come and enjoy Toorale National Park. It's only an hour west of Bourke, and brimming with wildlife. There’s great activities for the whole family! Toorale (pronounced as either ‘Tu’RAL or Tu-RAL-ee’), protects over 91,000 hectares.

Visit the newly opened Warrego Floodplain Drive, walk and picnic area, or discover the history of the grand Toorale homestead. Warrego Floodplain Walk is a short easy walk that offers views of the vast floodplains, birdwatching and seasonal wildflowers. If you prefer to learn about the history of this vast land visit the Toorale homestead. This partially restored homestead provides a window to a bygone era. In the late 1880s, the station was a thriving sheep and cattle empire. Remember the Mount Talowla Lookout, providing 360˚ views across the broad expanse of land, from the Dunlop Ranges in the south, through to Mount Gunderbooka and
across the Warrego and Darling floodplains.
