BIRDWATCHING

Information

The vast uncleared landscape of the Back O' Bourke, with its myriad of rivers, creeks, wetlands and waterholes creates an outback twitcher's paradise.

Birdwatchers and nature lovers are invited to find a shady spot near a creek and sit quietly to be rewarded with an unfolding parade of native birds and other fauna.

With RAMSAR wetlands and a range of other watercourses, the adventurous ornithologist can paddle into remote areas to see nesting migratory birds; much of the public land is freely accessible.
