BACK O' BOURKE EASTER FESTIVAL

The Back O' Bourke Easter Festival is a multi-day celebration, with events and festivities for the whole family over the Easter weekend. It's a fabulous weekend not to be missed!

All weekend

Extra Jandra cruise times, including a spectacular twilight cruise. Cemetery Tours with the local historian. Extended hours and entertainment at local restaurants, cafes and pubs. Dunlop Station tours every day, which include morning tea! The Aboriginal Art Gallery and Back O' Bourke Art Gallery are open every day, showcasing the amazing artistic talents of Bourke. The Crossley Engine display runs every day.

Good Friday

The Easter Colour Run is a great way to start the a fun family weekend! The Percy Hobson Water Tower Mural official opening is a great way to spend your lunch hour, celebrating the life and achievements of our local athlete Percy Hobson. The Long Table Dinner at the Back O' Bourke Information and Exhibition Centre from 6:30pm, allows you to sit back and enjoy a tapa menu with live entertainment to help make it a memorable time. The perfect way to spend a balmy autumn evening!

EASTER SATURDAY

Parkrun is on in the morning - a great way to start the day!

The Central Park Easter Markets are the perfect place to do some Easter shopping, and catch up with friends. The street parade is a must see, showcasing local historic vehicles, and fun floats. The wool bale rolling competition is when the excitement really heats up! See the teams and single competitors battle it out for the title!

Enjoy Saturday afternoon, watching the Bourke Junior Rams play before the big competition between the Bourke Rams and the Bourke Barbarians! The Back O' Bourke Races Calcutta then finishes off the day, at the Bourke Bowling Club.

EASTER SUNDAY

Attend the Easter sunrise service and pancake breakfast at Darling Park. The Giant Easter Egg Bunt, at the Back O' Bourke Information and Exhibition Centre, is great fun for all the kids! You might even meet the Easter Bunny! The Back O' Bourke Picnic Races are the highlight of the weekend, featuring five race program, and fashions on the field. This is followed by entertainment at the track after the last race!
